WHO WE ARE

Decision Quality Fails When Assumptions Break

R2Core was founded on a single observation: the oil and gas industry doesn’t have a data problem. It has a decision-quality problem — and it shows up when assumptions finally break.

OUR ORIGIN

We’ve seen what breaks.

R2Core was built by practitioners — engineers and strategists who spent years inside complex oil and gas operations watching the same failure mode repeat itself across companies of every size.

Plans were rational. Teams were experienced. Data was abundant. And yet, value kept getting destroyed — not from single catastrophic errors, but from the accumulation of good decisions made in silos, under assumptions that were never tested together.

We built R2Core to solve that specific problem. Not with more dashboards, not with better forecasting software — but with a fundamentally different architecture for decision-making: one that integrates technical, operational, and financial risk into a single coherent framework before capital is committed.

The result is what we call Decision Infrastructure — the structural layer that operators have been missing.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The principles we don’t negotiate.

01 —
Uncertainty is unavoidable. Pretending otherwise is the real risk. The organizations that survive volatility are not the ones who predicted it — they're the ones who designed for it.
02 —
Leadership deserves clarity, not more complexity. Every decision should roll up to one question: are we creating value or destroying it? If your framework can't answer that, it's not a framework — it's a filing system.
03 —
Most plans fail not because they are wrong, but because their assumptions were never stress-tested together. A plan that only works in ideal conditions isn't a plan. It's a hope.
04 —
Good decisions are not about being right. They are about understanding the consequences of every option before committing capital. Confidence without visibility is just expensive guessing.
05 —
Value destruction is structural, not accidental. Siloed optimization across drilling, completions, and production creates a system that looks efficient in parts and leaks value at the whole.
06 —
We don't tell operators what to do. We show them the consequences of every option. Judgment belongs to leadership. Visibility is what we provide — and without it, judgment is flying blind.

OUR TEAM

Engineering practitioners first.
Always.

R2Core was not built in a consulting firm. It was built in the field — by people who have been accountable for the decisions that go wrong when assumptions break.
